If I had a nickel for every time I heard someone say “there’s nothing fun to do in Moncton,” I would have a whole lot of nickels. And it baffles me because I feel like there are endless fun things to do in Moncton!
Below, you’ll find a list of some of my favourite things to do in Greater Moncton with information about their location, hours of operation and pricing. I hope this inspires you do try something new or support some of the great local businesses here in our community.
Magnetic Hill Zoo
The Magnetic Hill Zoo, located at 125 Magic Mountain Road, Moncton, NB, is open from April to November, plus they host a fun Christmas-light event during the month of December. They have a wide variety of animals ranging from lion, tigers, wallabies, arctic wolves, and so much more!
You can find their hours of operation and prices on their website, where it’s also possible to purchase tickets ahead of time.

Usva Spa
Immerse yourself in complete relaxation by visiting Usva Spa, at 774 Front Mountain Road in Moncton. Enjoy the benefits of the thermal experience for an unlimited amount of time starting at your check-in time, spending time in their saunas, cold pool, hot pool, and a variety of indoor and outdoor relaxation spaces.
Usva Spa is open from Tuesday to Saturday every week, offering a variety of additional services that can be combined with the thermal experience. All reservations must be done online.

Magnetic Hill Winery
Cheers to local wine! One of my favourite things to do in Moncton is visit Magnetic Hill Winery, the perfect spot to sip on incredible wine made right here in New Brunswick. At 850 Front Mountain Road, you can find a variety of reds, whites, rosés, dessert wines; you name it. And their newly renovated space is all the more reason to visit their tasting room any time of year. You can also grab a bottle (or 5) to take home for your family and friends.

Timber Lounge Axe Throwing
Open from 4:30pm to 10:30pm Friday and Saturday, Timber Lounge Axe Throwing is a great option for the adventurer looking to have fun in downtown Moncton! The cost to participate is $32 + tax per person. Each booking includes 1.5 hours of excitement led by Timber Lounge professionals, practice and coaching to build up confidence, and a tournament type session to see who can hit the most bullseyes!
Staff are present the entire time, keeping score and providing tips and tricks throughout the booking.

The Bunker
A great indoor option to practice your golf swing and have a drink with friends. The Bunker is located at 961 Main St in Moncton and is open seven days a week starting from 10 or 11am each day up until late in the evening. You can bring your own clubs or use the equipment that’s on site (which is always ideal for beginners). The Bunker is among one of the many indoor things to do in Moncton, even if the weather isn’t cooperating.

The Marvelous Holy Bowly
A list of things to do in the Greater Moncton Area is not complete without including The Marvelous Holy Bowly! You can find this fantastic bowling alley at 28 Briggs Drive in Riverview. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, you can enjoy bowling, arcade games, plus some great locally crafter beer.

DIY Studio
A fun, creative and welcoming space for craft enthusiasts of all skill levels to choose a piece of pottery and make it your own!
DIY Studio is a great group activity or a fun date night idea. You can stop in anytime during hours of operation, noting that you’ll need a few hours to complete your masterpiece. Once you finish painting, your items stays on site for glazing, which will take at least 1-2 weeks before you can pick it up.
This is a great indoor thing to do in Moncton, which can be enjoyed every day of the week, usually from 9am to 9pm on most days, closing at 7pm on Sundays.
Prices for pieces vary, from $15-40 on average.

Resurgo Place
Discover the Moncton Museum in beautiful Resurgo Place. Open from 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday and from 12pm to 5pm on Sundays, this a fun activity to do in Moncton any time of year. The cost is $13 per adult, $7 for children aged 4-11, taxes included. When visiting Thursday evening, a 50% discount is applied to the cost of entry.

Tidal Bore Viewing
A tidal bore is a strong tide that pushes up a river, against the current. This forms a single giant wave that rolls up the river. This incredible phenomenon occurs twice a day. You can find our when it occurs on this website: www.tidalboretimes.ca
There is no cost to go view the tidal bore, and it can be seen along the boardwalk of Moncton’s downtown riverfront all year round!
Board Games at Le Moque Tortue
Another one of my favourite things to do is play board games, and you are missing out if you have never visited Le Moque Tortue. Located in Shediac, NB, they have an incredible selection of games for people of all ages. And while you’re there, you can also enjoy some of their incredible food and drinks.

Fit Rocks Climbing Gym
For the adventurer, enjoy some indoor rock climbing at Fit Rocks Climbing Gym. Located at 290 Baig Boulebard in Moncton, you can test your strength with a variety of easier and more difficult climbing routes.
The gym is now accessible through the GymMaster App, where you can purchase a day-pass or membership to allow access into the gym from 5pm to 9pm on week nights, 10am to 4pm on weekends.
